No injuries have been reported after a suspicious blaze started at an vacant warehouse Tuesday morning in downtown’s East Village.

More than 70 fire personnel responded to the second-alarm fire that started around 5:10 a.m. in the 1300 block of G Street, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue.

Crews knocked the blaze down before 6 a.m., and were continuing work at the scene.

Officials said the fire was suspicious in nature and the Metro-Arson Strike Team will investigate.

The vacant building is located in a city block that is being redeveloped.
