San Diego County Credit Union is hosting a blood drive on Wednesday, Sept. 7 at four SDCCU branch locations. There is currently an extremely low inventory of blood. Hospital shelves are almost empty and this short supply is affecting thousands of patients. The community is encouraged to help – lives depend on it.

The San Diego Blood Bank will be at the following SDCCU locations on Sept. 7 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. so register today.

SDCCU has supported the San Diego Blood Bank for over 20 years. Blood donations are especially critical at this time of year after a busy summer season, and this year has been especially challenging. While an increased need for blood exists, donations have decreased due to business and community partners being unable to host normal drives.

More than 30 hospitals rely on the San Diego Blood Bank every day. With a shelf life of just 42 days, the constant need for new donations is critical. To learn more about the San Diego Blood Bank or for more information, visit https://www.sandiegobloodbank.org/.
