A man died Sunday as he walked across a street in the Ridgeview/Webster, police said.
At 6:17 a.m. Sunday, the pedestrian, 50, was crossing the street at 1600 Euclid Ave. from the west side of the street to the east, according to Officer Lawanda Fisher of the San Diego Police Department.
A vehicle traveling northbound on Euclid near the bike lane struck him, the officer said. Medics sent the pedestrian to a hospital, where he died.
The driver was not injured and alcohol was not a factor in the collision, Fisher said.
Traffic Division officers responded to the scene and were investigating the accident.
