An overnight driver’s license/sobriety checkpoint in Pacific Beach netted 12 DUI arrests in or near the checkpoint, authorities said Saturday.

Twelve vehicles were also impounded at the checkpoint in the 2700 block of Garnet Avenue, which began at 10 p.m. Friday and ended at 3 a.m., said Officer Anthony Obregon of the San Diego Police Department.

Obregon added that 855 vehicles were screened and 22 drivers were evaluated at the checkpoint.
