Feeling foodie urges? That may be because San Diego Restaurant Week is almost upon us.
The event, featuring more than 100 restaurants from throughout the region, begins Sunday and continues through Oct. 2.
How does San Diego Restaurant Week work? Peruse a range of eateries online, to see chef-crafted prix-fixe menus offered at a number of prices.
Brunch, lunch and dinner options are available, as are a variety of cuisines, from Asian to Spanish, along with special menus, such as vegan or vegetarian, or those that include a cocktail as a course.
Lunch options start at $20, with prices rising to $80 for certain dinner menus.
For instance, Saltwater in the Gaslamp Quarter features a $50 dinner menu, with a soup/salad/appetizer option, choice of four entrees and a dessert.
Though reservations are not required, organizers recommend making them as eateries fill up quickly during Restaurant Week.
San Diego Restaurant Week is brought about by a collaboration with the California Restaurant Association. Money raised during the event benefits various programs, including those for high school students studying culinary arts and hospitality,
