San Diego State athletic director John David Wicker noted SDSU’s “long history together” with Cox.
“The partnership will provide fans in the Cox Business Club with a unique experience of watching the team take the field from inside the club and getting to feel the excitement up close,” he added.
“Keeping people connected during events and activities at San Diego’s newest state-of-the-art venue is another exciting way for us to invest in the communities we serve,” said Rebecca Rosen, a senior director of marketing for Cox Business.
The Cox Business Club will feature a combination of premium menu items and traditional game day fare and all club seats and loge boxes in this area have been sold out.
Duane Cameron, vice president for Cox Business in San Diego, said the partnership “showcases Cox’s commitment to positively empowering families and individuals, including student athletes, for success and health here in the region.”
Cox Business joins Qualcomm Technologies, Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation as well as Sycuan Casino Resort, San Diego County Toyota Dealers, Kaiser Permanente and Quidel as the current founding partners of the new 35,000-capacity stadium.
SDSU Athletics was represented by Legends and JMI Sports, which sourced and negotiated the partnership.
The Aztecs open Bashor Field at Snapdragon Stadium against Arizona on Sept. 3. The game also serves as their season opener.
